Ever wondered how the objects around us came to be? Something as simple as a pen or toothbrush actually consists of much more production complexity than we can even imagine. Whether you're founding a hardware startup or simply looking to learn more about how things are made, join Eric Voight and Donald Mac Callum, partners at logistics and supply chain management firm 1.0 (one-point-zero) for an interactive workshop as we delve into the wonderful world of hardware, production, and manufacturing. In order to create a dynamic, useful, and streamlined discussion, we are crowdsourcing questions and ideas from attendees in advance! Please be prepared to submit a question on the registration form in the "Other Information" section as you purchase your ticket. Tickets include coffee and breakfast. About Eric Voigt, Senior Partner at 1.0: Eric has 20+ years’ working experience in Asia and Europe for corporations and private equity funds, including Zwilling, Zumtobel, Gentherm and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. He's created millions of dollars of value for Stock Exchange-listed manufacturers, and been in senior roles managing facilities creating auto components and electronics. At the heart of these jobs has been the establishment of new production facilities, the recruitment of entire workforces and the ongoing day-to-day management of these crucial facilities. There are few people better placed to understand manufacturing in Asia, who can apply that knowledge across industries, or who can bring these lessons to bear in any human endeavor. About Donald Mac Callum, Managing Partner at 1.0: With 25+ years’ experience in senior roles in engineering, sales and account management, Donald works to deliver custom client solutions to multi-national corporations. He aims to accelerate product design and manufacturing cycles, and bring new ideas to the market quickly and cost effectively. Donald has 13+ years working experience in China, managing the supply base and executing projects while serving accounts across the United States, Europe and Asia -- his work relies heavily on experience and personal relationships built up over a career in Asia.
